Well, that didn’t take long.
We went from “we’re all in this together” to “the unvaccinated are the worst people in the world” in the span of a few months.
The latest example is mainstream pundit Piers Morgan who recently stated that he believes the unvaccinated should be denied medical treatment.
Believe it or not, this is actually becoming a very popular sentiment here in America as well if you happen to browse social media. Even more frightening, American doctors are often seen echoing this sentiment.
Those who refuse to be vaccinated, with no medical reason not to, should be refused NHS care if they then catch covid. I’m hearing of anti-vaxxers using up ICU beds in London at vast expense to the taxpayer. Let them pay for their own stupidity & selfishness.

But what’s interesting here and also seemingly totally lost on these people is that everyday in America and in the U.K., the most violent convicted criminals receive free health care.
I’ve never once heard any of these people claiming that these criminals shouldn’t receive free health care. People convicted of the most heinous and despicable crimes receive free medical care everyday that even many hard-working, law-abiding Americans don’t have access to or can’t afford.
So is Piers Morgan and others who share his view telling us that the unvaccinated are now a lower class of citizen than even those convicted of the most heinous and violent crimes imaginable?
As I wrote earlier, the idea of denying care to the unvaccinated is no fringe belief anymore. Thousands of blue check-mark users on Twitter and doctors on social media are supporting this insane and inhumane notion.
I suppose this is just another sad example showing how quickly mass hysteria and dangerous group-think can turn a free society into a totalitarian state where the rules no longer make any logical sense.
